Marvel to turn 80 this August

Marvel Comics No 1 was first published on August 31, 1939, then known as Timely Comics. To celebrate its 80 years' legacy in 2019, Marvel Comics No. 1000 will be released in August which is touted to be "a massive collaborative effort that will see 80 different creative teams showcase Marvel's classic characters... and some brand new ones!" said a company statement.
